Ahead of the Redmi Note 11 series launch on 28 October, Redmi's General Manager Lu Wei Bing announced something exciting out of a sudden. According to Lu, the brand will follow a new strategy by launching two Note series in a year, starting from the upcoming Redmi Note 11.

Unlike other brands, Redmi has explained why such a decision is made. It's said that Redmi cannot fulfil the requirements of every user with a single generation of handsets. Therefore, the company decided to release two different Redmi Note series models in a year. Besides Redmi, other brands like OPPO and vivo are also doing the same but might have their own reasons.

Furthermore, it's also mentioned that the Redmi Note 11 series is more of a successor for the Redmi Note 9 rather than the Redmi Note 10. Lu described that the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G focuses solely on performance by using MediaTek's Dimensity 1100 chipset but not on the experience like display and charging speed. Meanwhile, the upcoming Redmi Note 11 will bring improved features but not focus much on performance. However, those who seek performance can still look out for the Note 11 Pro, as it will be the world's first smartphone with Dimensity 920 SoC.
