Redmi announces that it's adding a new member to the K50 series for the Indian market. It's confirmed that the Redmi K50i will launch on 20 July, and the announcement poster might have revealed some details it should keep as a surprise.

Although Redmi didn't tell us any of the tech specs yet, the device shown in the poster is enough for us to find out about them. The phone that the guy is holding looks similar to the Redmi Note 11T Pro and Redmi Note 11T Pro+. Therefore, it's suspected that the upcoming Redmi K50i would be a rebranded version of one of those two phones.

Redmi Note 11T Pro+

If true, the Redmi K50i will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, 6.6-inch FullHD+ 144Hz LCD, 16MP selfie camera, 64MP primary camera (joined by 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro units), stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. For battery, it depends on which Note 11T Pro device it follows. The standard Note 11T Pro packs a 5,080mAh battery with 67W charging, while the Note 11T Pro+ comes with a 4,400mAh battery with 120W charging.

It's unknown if the upcoming Redmi device will make a trip to Malaysia, but we'll update you as soon as we receive any new information. Leave a comment to let us know what you think about the Redmi K50i, and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more smartphone reports.
