The Redmi K40 Gaming series got into a blast in sales after last month’s announcement. With this huge popularity, we are expecting Xiaomi to be working on a new addition to the K series. Today, we got a tip from a Weibo leakster mentioning a new K40 lite is in the works.

According to the source, he tracks back that there is another phone that hasn’t been announced yet alongside the K40 Gaming. It will sport a Dimensity 1100 chipset instead of the Dimensity 1200 from the Redmi K40 Gaming. Although it has a different chipset, both are still having the same Mali-G77 MC9 GPU based on a 6nm manufacturing process. The only difference is the lack of 3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 core.

Another leaked info also suggested that the display will still come with a FHD+ center punch hole selfie cam with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 10-bit color support like its predecessor. A 64MP main camera and a 5000 mAH battery supports up to 67W fast charging. With all this info, we are assuming this upcoming K40 Gaming “Lite” will be priced at a much cheaper pricing.

Either way, there is still no official information on the tech specs and the releasing dates, so do take this with a pinch of salt. In the meantime, are you looking forward to the Redmi K40 Gaming Lite? Let us know at our Facebook page and stay tuned for more tech news updates on TechNave.com.
