Redmi's first dual-mode 5G device, Redmi K30 may be launching next year?

Today, Redmi has unveiled the first 5G device which is the Redmi K30 during the Redmi 8 launch in China. According to Redmi’s General Manager Liu WeiBing, he revealed that the smartphone will have a dual-mode 5G support.

The dual-mode 5G support will enable the device to work in a Non-Standalone (NSA) mode which it’s 5G networking relies on existing 4G infrastructure and a Standalone(SA) mode which solely relies on 5G infrastructure.

Looking into the picture provided by Liu, It may come with a pill-shaped punched hole dual camera setup on the front that is similar to the Samsung S10+. It is also rumored that it may be equipped with a Snapdragon 7250 chipset that supports dual 5G modes.

The Redmi K30 is expected to be launched early next year and Liu mentioned it will not be the cheapest 5G device like the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. While the other tech specs are still unofficial, so do take the tech specs as a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more updates on TechNave.com!
