Xiaomi Malaysia today announced the release of the RedmiBook 15 in Malaysia, making it the first ever laptop by Xiaomi to enter our local market. Under the hood, the laptop is powered by either an 11th-gen Intel i3-1115G4 or i-5-111300H processor alongside 8GB DRR4 RAM.
The Intel i3 version comes with 256GB storage while the Intel i5 version has double that with 512GB of storage. The latter also utilises an SSD with NVMe PCIe interface which allows for faster data transfers.
There are no dedicated GPUs for both devices, with the Intel i3 variant featuting Intel UHD Graphics and the Intel i5 with Intel Iris Xe Graphics. As for the screen, both sports a 15.6-inch FHD anti-glare panel which supports DC Dimming.
The RedmiBook 15 comes with Microsoft Windows 11 Home pre-installed with Xiaomi promising a lifetime OTA of software updates. As for I/O, the device has USB 3.0, HDMI 1.4, Realtek RTS5176 Card Reader and audio jack.
Other notable specs include a 46Whr battery, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, 2W stereo speakers with DTS tuning for video call and a builtin 720p webcam. The RedmiBook 15 will be available for purchase in Malaysia starting from 6 June 2022.
The Intel i3 model (8GB/256GB) is priced at RM2399 while the Intel i5 (8GB/512GB) variant is RM2799. Both variants will be available for purchase at all Authorized Xiaomi stores in Malaysia and online on official Lazada and Shopee stores.
Besides that, for a limited time only, the RedmiBook 15 will be available for purchase at a special early-bird price of RM 1899 for the Intel i3 model and RM 2499 for the Intel i5 configuration. In addition, customers who purchase their RedmiBook 15 at Authorized Xiaomi stores will receive a free Mi Casual Backpack (worth RM 69), while stocks last.
