Renders of Facebook & Ray-Ban's smart glasses leaked

Remember that sleek pair of smart glasses that Facebook teased back in July? It was a pair of glasses that look like regular sunglasses but can actually deliver a virtual reality (VR) experience. Now, a reality source has provided renders for the device.

Thanks to Evan Blass, the renders of Facebook's smart glasses have been revealed. As you can see, it's a collaboration with eyewear company Ray-Ban, which is well-known for its sunglasses. The smart glasses come in a few designs and different colours for the frame and lenses, so you can somewhat customise your options. It's also relatively compact, but should be relatively heavier than a regular pair of glasses.

If you look closer at the renders, you can also quickly pick up a few details. Two cameras can be found on the front of the eyewear, right next to the two lenses. Next to the cameras are two pinholes, which are most likely for microphones. There's also a button on the right-side temple near the hinge.

The launch date for Facebook's smart glasses hasn't been confirmed, nor do we know the actual model name yet. But since the renders are out, we can probably expect an official update soon. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about it.
