We've seen a lot of rumours about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 but seldom come across any news on the Z Flip 2. Until now, someone has made the renders for the device by showing a familiar design but with several tweaks that will make the next-gen clamshell folding phone more appealing than its predecessor.

According to the renders, the Z Flip 2 looks pretty much the same as the first-gen Z Flip. However, it is said to feature a new folding mechanism and will be thinner. Besides that, Samsung might also include buttons that are called "Virtual Control Buttons" as the double of the existing physical buttons. It is said that their functionalities will be the same as the physical ones so users don't have to reach all the way to press the buttons when the screen is not folded.

For the tech specs, the Z Flip 2 is expected to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 chipset, 128GB and 256GB of storage, 5G connectivity, and a similar camera setup from the Galaxy S21 series. There could also be a dual-battery setup with a total power of 3,200 mAh. Lastly, it is worth mentioning that the Z Flip 2 might be called Z Flip 3 to fit the naming of the larger foldable.
