POCO is preparing to launch the POCO F4 5G globally. If you missed the news last night, we basically already know all of the tech specs as it's said to be a rebranded Redmi K40S. However, we thought that POCO saved up some surprise for us as there would be a POCO F4 Pro 5G, but it seems like it's not the case anymore.
According to this new report, POCO has ditched the Pro variant. Xiaomi worked on the internal MIUI builds for the Poco F4 Pro 5G until 19 April, and it has been two months since the release of the last software build. Therefore, it suggests that the device might have already been cancelled.
The POCO F4 Pro 5G is supposed to be a rebranded Redmi K50 Pro. It would bring a 2K AMOLED display that supports Dolby Vision and get powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 chipset. Since it might have been taken out of POCO's future plan, we shouldn't put too much hope on seeing those specs on a POCO device at this point.
