During at the MWC 2017, Meizu demonstrated their upcoming Super mCharge technology to the public, which they claimed that it is capable of fully charge a phone within 20 minutes or so. This time, a Taiwanese reported went to Meizu’s HQ to check it out himself, and this is what he has to report.

According to the reporter, a phone was tested and it only took 18 minutes and 12 seconds to go fully charge from 0%. Despite the supersonic speed charging, there was no sign of overheating, the reason being that the Super mCharge charging conversion efficiency of 98% is close to the theoretical limit of 100%; meaning, little energy was lost to the heat as well as other factors that was not mentioned by Meizu’s Research and Development official. Moreover, despite the success rate of the super fast charging, Meizu is still testing their battery cycles just to make it works safely in their smartpones before getting a green light, they are probably making a type of lithium battery to be compatible.
