We all know that the recent mocking ads are not enough to dim the light of the newly-launch iPhone 14 series, and Samsung can only truly fight back with the next flagship series launch. We are now getting confirmation of the Galaxy S23 Ultra offering a 200MP camera, and that's an answer!

Reputable tipster Ice Universe is the one that brought the news. It's said that the Galaxy S23 Ultra is 100 per cent to feature a 200MP camera. The sensor used would have a size of 1/1.3 inches and 0.6μm sized pixels. There's also a larger aperture of f/1.7 for getting in more light. The current Galaxy S22 Ultra only features a 108MP sensor. It has a 1/1.33 inch size, 0.8µm pixels and an f/1.8 aperture.

Furthermore, the tipster also claimed that the sensor used on the Galaxy S23 Ultra would be smaller than some sensors on other Android premium offerings coming next year. Although Samsung already has the 200MP HP1 and HP3 sensors, the company is not likely to use them. It's said that a new 200MP sensor would get exclusively customized for the upcoming flagship.
