OPPO is quick at refreshing its Reno smartphone series, and that's a thing we always know. Therefore, it's not surprising to get information regarding the next-gen Reno smartphones now, even though the Reno 8 only came out a few months ago. With that said, a reputable tipster has revealed the chipset and camera tech specs of the upcoming Reno 9 series.

According to Digital Chat Station, the Reno 9 Pro would get equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G. The previous Reno 8 Pro packs the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, so it's unknown why the company is going backwards. Furthermore, the tipster also tipped on the camera, saying that the device will feature a 64MP primary sensor.

Besides the Reno 9 Pro, there could be two other devices arriving from the series, Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro Plus. The top variant could get powered by the MediaTek MT6895 chip, which is the Dimensity 8100. It would also feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera. Other speculations include a 4,500mAh battery and a new Red colour option.

The Reno 9 could arrive as early as November. Meanwhile, OPPO is also rumoured to launch its Find N2 foldable phone and a clamshell phone in December. If all of these happened, it would be an eventful Q4 for the company. What do you think about the Reno 9 series' tech specs?
