Let’s face it – smartphone designs has been stagnating for the past few years. We may see leaps and jumps for the internal technologies but outwardly it has been the standard large slab of glass at the front of the device. University of Bristol's Interaction Group may have something new in the works. They have designed a slick new reconfigurable form for touchscreen displays. The Cubimorph is a single display built out of smaller, six-sided display cubes that are daisy-chained together and can be repositioned?up to the users needs.

Thanks to the nature of the device, the combination of screens is almost limitless. A large screen, game controller, compact display -there are many ways to rearrange the display cubes. For those who do not know how to and what form of screen they want, there will be an algorithm that can help users create the most optimum form for their need.

The display is still in research stage for now but we may just see the display being mass produced in the near future.
