Roughly 1.4 million Malaysians did not provide more information on the MySejahtera app

Based on a statement by Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, it seems that roughly 1.4 million Malaysians who registered for the COVID-19 vaccine did not provide additional information about themselves other than confirming their identity via NRIC. Citizens who did not provide the app with the necessary information might end up needing to get the vaccine at a later date, as some of the information might be required in order to set up an appointment.

With that in mind, the government will send out SMSes to remind the citizens to provide more information about themselves via the MySejahtera app in order to streamline the immunization programme. As for how to do so, simply head over to the MySejahtera app and tap on the ‘COVID-19 Vaccination’ button near the top.

After that, tap on ‘Vaccine for (your name)’ followed by ‘Assessment’ and fill in your details before you tap on submit. If you accidentally keyed in the wrong info, you can always restart the assessment to ensure that you’re sending the most up to date information possible.
