It seems that TikTok has recently donated £5 million to the Royal College of Nursing Foundation, in order to help frontliners in their battle against the COVID-19 outbreak. Based on bbc.com, it seems that the amount donated by TikTok is considered one of the largest contributions received from a social media company to date.

On another note, TikTok has recently introduced the Family Pairing feature, which allows the parents of any teenager more control over certain aspects of their child’s TikTok account. These aspects include direct messaging, screen time, as well as the ability to activate ‘restricted mode’ which can be done via the paired account of the parent.

But that’s not all, starting 30 April 2020 TikTok will automatically disable Direct Messaging for users under the age of 16.
