After teasers of the new model appeared online, more information of the upcoming Honor V8 is starting to pop up, with several benchmark scores pointing to the fact that the V8 may ship with a Samsung Exynos processor, alongside Huawei’s own Kirin SoC.
Scores from the upcoming smartphone confirmed that one of the models will come with 4GB of RAM, making it on par with many flagship devices on the market now. What the scores also reveal is that at least one model will be shipping with the Exynos 7420 – the same SoC that powered last year’s flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy S6.
This is a surprising piece of news from Honor, which has traditionally sticked with Huawei’s own silicon for its high-spec models. Will we see this model come to life, and will it be available for the Malaysian market? Stay tuned to Technave for more news soon.
