A post on Xiaomi’s forums yesterday suggests that the company through its subsidiary may just be prepping the launch of their own take on a 360-degree camera for the masses. Joining names like Samsung and Ricoh, the camera may just break the surround-imaging concept to the layman.

A spinning lady is the subject that Xiaomi used to post on the forum, and many are speculating that the company will have the camera that can record 360-degrees in their wings for cheap. Xiaomi is famous in creating affordable yet quality products for consumers.

For smartphone fans, there is also another news that may be of a concern. The teased Redmi Note Pro is said to feature an OLED screen rather than the standard IPS display. This is according to another photo that was posted onto Xiaomi’s forum.

Will this product signal the start of mass adoption of 360-degree videos and images? Will Xiaomi turn to OLED displays for their high-end smartphones? Stay tuned to TechNave to find out!
