The recently launched Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus comes with Apple’s new Fusion A10 processor – with its two high-powered and two –low-powered cores running to keep the phone in optimum condition. However a new report has just been shared online that a new processor is on its way from Apple, and it is expected to be used in their Apple iPad Pro products.
For number crunchers, Geekbench 4 tests on the "A10X" device have a single core performance rating of 4236, with a score of 6588 in the multiple core tests. Just for comparison, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus come in at around 3500 for single-core, and 5600 for multi-core tests. The Macbook Air 2015 scored 3336 points for the Intel Core-i7 model.
If this is the processor for the upcoming iPad Pro models, we may see the iPad truly become a viable productivity device for the Mac ecosystem. Stay tuned to TechNave for more Apple news.
