In a move that practically confirms that Apple is working on a smartwatch called the iWatch, Apple recently applied for the iWatch trademark in Russia. Reported in Russian newspapers Apple applied for two trademarks under the name iWatch at Rospatent, which is Russia's patent agency.
The first patent is for a computing device while the second patent is for a watch. Since both trademark patents are for the iWatch it confirms that Apple are actually working on a smartwatch. The iWatch is estimated to be launched at the end of the year.
