Rumours: Apple iPhone 5S getting a 12MP camera?

Apple's next iPhone iteration, the Apple iPhone 5S looks to be breaking with tradition as rather than a software update it may also include a hardware update as well. Rumours have recently surfaced that the Apple iPhone 5S may feature a 12MP camera, which is 4MP higher than the current 8MP camera sensor in the Apple iPhone 5. This rumour comes courtesy of a source from Wonderful Saigon Electrics, the component maket who deals with Apple's camera modules. Other features of the updated 12MP camera sensor include better low-light shooting and HDR support.

While it may not be the next killer feature like a transparent screen or a safety feature that always ensures that the iPhone lands on its back (and not the breakable glass screen), if it does turn out to be true, it should add a bit more pull for iPhone users looking to upgrade. Again, this rumour seems unlikely as most Apple iPhone Xs iterations have offered software feature updates so do take this rumour with a pinch of salt. As always, we will keep you posted as to further developments.
