A social media post by tech evangelist Robert Scoble states that Apple and Carl Zeiss are apparently teaming up to produce their own Augmented Reality glasses for the masses. Something akin to the Google Glass, the Apple AR glass may add a more immersive experience to the users of the iOS ecosystem.

The CEO of Apple Time Cook has talked about a potential investment by the company in AR, and he himself was impressed by the success of Pokemon Go. While he sees Virtual Reality as being useful for education and gaming, during the summer he said that the market for AR "is the larger of the two, probably by far." Scoble says in his post that he believes that Apple and Zeiss will introduce its AR glasses some time this year.

Will this Apple AR glasses be the next big thing? We know that when Apple runs with something, the industry will adopt it – so will we see people with AR glasses walking around Kuala Lumpur in the next few years, normal as day? We have to wait and see – so stay tuned to TechNave for more news on the Apple AR glasses.
