Rumours: Apple's wireless charging technology is not built-in and no more Lightning to Headphone Jack cable?

It’s Monday again and we are having more Apple rumours (yay…), according to some “reliable source” online from Apple’s supply chain, we gotten some interesting news about the upcoming 10th Anniversary iPhone, which kind of contradicts reports from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Nikkeireport.

So first off, Apple’s supply chain, Catcher Technology is claiming that only one iPhone model will be adopting the glass casing + wireless charging, as opposed to both Kuo and Nikkei’s report on all iPhones going in that direction.

Also based on Luxshare, who’s rumoured to be the sole supplier of Apple’s new wireless charging, reported that the wireless charging accessory is also a separated accessory instead of a built-in one. This also means that Apple could be adopting a charging dock instead of a true wireless charging experience.

Meanwhile, there are some reports that Apple won’t be putting in the Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter in the box for this year’s anniversary, while the Lightning to USB-C cable will remain as a optional purchase. This was reported by Mac Otakara, which was the first source to claim that the headphone jack port on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus would be removed, so as the new Jet Black design. However, their claim of the Jet White colour has not come to fruition.

These are the rumours so far, do take them with a inch of salt and stay tuned for more Apple news at Technave.com.
