We have been hearing a lot of Apple rumours for these past few weeks already, mostly talking about the design and tech-specs. However, this particular information from Micgadget.com, a Chinese tech blog has talked about Apple will only release two iPhone models which are the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
Claiming that the information was cited from “some [of] our friends from Foxconn”, this is what they have to say”
Rumors say that Apple will release two iPhone 7S and one iPhone 8 (or iPhone Edition) models. Today we can tell you, that it's not true. This fall we can see only two models with new technology. Very interesting that rumors leaked new iPhone 8 and big iPhone 8 Plus will have similar dual cameras.
So viable is this information? About 50-50, Micgadget.com has a mixed track record of claiming Apple rumours so we should take this with a grain of salt. In fact, it’s the first time that we heard about the iPhone 8 Plus and apparently they have been saying the device exist since February.
On the other hand, there is another perspective to this. After all, why continue making the “S” models instead of just focusing on the 10th Anniversary iPhone this year? But then again, there is also the supply shortages for the OLED phone according to sources. So perhaps in September, the iPhone 8 would likely just be a showcase event and will be ready to be launched after one or two months.
So what do you think? Skip the “S” models or do you prefer to have them continued with the additional iPhone 8? Stay tuned for more Apple news at TechNave.com.
