We may see the next iteration of Google Pixel to have upgraded features that was requested by current generation owners. These includes better camera, new processor and even waterproofing for weather protection. Plus, there may be a budget version in the works as well.

Google is allegedly testing multiple Pixel 2 models with Qualcomm and Intel chips. Apparently, Taiwanese chip maker MediaTek was also part of the project for a time, but isn't longer in the running due to issues. At the same time, there is also news that a model called “Pixel 2B” is in development with a more modest spec when compared to the Pixel. Google is also said to be focusing on the camera, working on improving low light photography and making the most of a camera sensor that isn't large in megapixels and adding extra features.

The Google Pixel is currently available in select markets officially, but it can be imported easily. The current price for the Google Pixel is about RM 4499 and there is a possibility that the Pixel 2 will command a USD50(~RM 220) premium over the current model. Is this a good move?
