Back in December, HTC released a subtle teaser just saying "For U" along with a reveal date on 12 January 2017. That's just days after CES 2017, and that was nothing else we know apart from the internet's speculation that the device will be called the HTC U Ultra.

Initially dubbed as the HTC Ocean Note at first, the new name was 'leaked' by Twitter user @OnLeaks on his account, although he said it was an unverified source, users may be triggered by the fact that it might not have a headphone jack and we all know what happens if it's true.

Apart from being 6-inch, it also means that it's likely to adapt a USB Type-C port and will follow the footsteps of Apple. A Taiwanese retailer, Eprice also reported that the phablet will equip a good quality camera and a dual SIM slot that will support 4G for the main slot, and 3G connectivity for the secondary one.

Besides that, HTC might even introduce two new series called Ocean Smart and Ocean Master, Ocean Smart is said to be designed for the mid-range target audience, whereas the Ocean Master is the flagship class with no physical buttons.

12 January will come soon enough, so stay tuned for more HTC news at Technave.com.
