A new leaked promotional video from HTC may give some hint on what they are up to for 2017. Not only they are talking about how they can be different with the HTC U series, there is even a possible HTC Vive smartphone. Yes, the same brand that they are using for their 3D ecosystem.

The phone was spotted in their promo video about the CMF Kitchen, where CMF stands for Colour Material Finish. This is where the company tests new materials they would like to use on their future smartphones. One of the phones that was spotted in the promotional video had the Vive branding on it, so it may be that HTC is readying a HTC Vive smartphone to be announced alongside the expected HTC Ocean devices.
