In case you didn’t know, it’s not uncommon for Chinese smartphone manufacturers to slap a different name on their phones for international release purpose. One good example is when Oppo released the F1 Plus as an international model, but it’s the same one as the R9. So today, it seems that the latest news is that the Honor V9 will have a name-change for international release.

According to Hi-Tech, a website from Russia, they claimed that Honor will release an international variant of the same model, be dubbed as the Honor 8 Pro instead. In fact, they even said it will appear at the upcoming MWC 2017 this end of the month. That being said, the tech-specs is also the same, as it will feature Kirin 960 SoC clocked at 2.4GHz, 4BG / 6GB RAM,  128GB of expandable storage, dual 12MP cameras at the back, an 8MP front camera, a fingerprint scanner, and EMUI 5.0 as well.

We will be keeping an eye out on this one, so stay tuned for more news at Technave.com.
