Following what Samsung is doing with their Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC reportedly are making a smaller, less expensive version of their flagship HTC One smartphone. Going by the codename HTC M4 or eventually the HTC One Mini, it will likely maintain the same UltraPixel camera but lower other specs like perhaps the screen size, processor and other features. Recently, a number of leaked images of the HTC One Mini have been spotted online placed side by side with the original HTC One.
First impressions seem to indicate that the HTC One Mini will indeed have a smaller 4.3-inch screen. It is probably a bit more compact and features the same front facing speakers as the HTC One. The one in the leaked images was black but the HTC One Mini will also likely have an aluminum unibody chassis as well. For those wondering if it is just a cheap joke, the HTC One Mini or M4 was recently certified by Bluetooth SIG, so yes, it does exist and should be coming soon. No specific news yet on pricing or availability but we'll keep you posted as to any new developments.
