Can you feel the charm?
Rumours about the Meizu Blue Charm Metal, which will make its debut on 21 October 2015 include that it will feature a magnesium-aluminium alloy build to give it a more premium feel. But first, the tech specs:-
- Octa-core 2GHz processor
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB of internal storage and 128GB microSD slot
- 5.5-inch screen with 1080 x 1820 resolution
- 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera
- YunOS from Alibaba
The discovery was on Weibo when they released a teaser of the product. A periodic table with Magnesium (Mg, atomic number 12) and Aluminium (Al, atomic number 13) was highlighted indicating what materials are being used for the smartphone. Plastic will be used first in a trio layered material, then followed by a later of metal sandwiched by another layer of plastic on top. There is a fourth layer, which is sprayed on it. This also means that the magnesium-aluminium alloy will probably be in between those two layers of plastic.
Besides the colour blue, there are also other colours offered such as pink, champagne, graphite and white. On the other hand, the teaser also showed a new smartwatch that will pair with the Blue Charm Metal as well. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but stay tuned for more information.
