It almost seems like deja vu as information surfaces about Malaysia getting both Exynos and Snapdragon 800 powered versions of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III phablet. Coming from the same source that said we'd get the Exynos Octa and Snapdragon 600 powered versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4, the site has released a country list for the various versions of the phablet. As mentioned earlier, Malaysia is listed as getting the SM-N900 and the SM-N9005. Tech specs for both are as follows:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note III (SM-N900)
  • Samsung Exynos 5420 Octa-Core processor
  • ARM Mali-T628 MP6 GPU
  • 3GB LPDDR3 RAM
  • Supports 3G connectivity
  • Samsung Galaxy Note III (SM-N9005)
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 Quad-Core processor
  • Adreno 330 GPU
  • 3GB LPDDR3 RAM
  • Supports LTE connectivity

As you can see, the Exynos powered version has no LTE while the Snapdragon 800 version supports LTE. A third version with no LTE but supporting dual-SIM is also said to be available but just for select markets like China. With the Samsung Galaxy Note III reveal just around the corner on 4 September 2013, we're expecting the two Samsung Galaxy Note III versions to quickly make appearances in the SIRIM database after this date.
