Rumours: More Blackberry phones may feature QWERTY keyboards, and a new model spotted in the wild?

While the upcoming Blackberry Mercury (which we think will be called DTEK70 for obvious reasons) is set to feature a QWERTY keyboard, it may not be the last mode, if the reports are correct. A tweet by the president of TCL in America posted a cryptic post on the social media platform with the hashtag #TheNewBlackberry.

The post alludes to the Remington No. 2 made in 1878, that made headlines as it is the first to feature a shift key in its construction. This may be a sign that TCL is not going to let QWERTY die, and we may see more new models sporting the QWERTY keyboard in the near future.

At the same time, another report states that a new model has been spotted in the wild. With a model number BBC100-1, it follows the previous models that has been released thus far – the DTEK60 carrying the model BBA100-1 and the upcoming Mercury is said to carry the model BBB100-1.

Will this be a new QWERTY model as well, or will this be a slate design ala DTEK60? We will have to wait, as Blackberry is set to announce something big during CES2017, so stay tuned to TechNave for more news and information.
