We have talked about the various patents that Samsung has garnered over the past year or so for flexible displays for their future smartphones. Now a new patent has been granted to Samsung that seems to incorporate their previous patents into a single design.

Samsung Display, a subsidiary of the Korean giant, has been granted a new patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. This patent suggests that Samsung has managed to figure out to incorporate flexible materials into a layer of the display panel. This gives the display flexibility to curve and fold – without the need of having the display split into multiple panels.

This patent seems to be the most advanced patent thus far, and this may indicate that the company is ready to come out with a new device pretty soon. We will just have to wait for 2017, as new products will be announced throughout the year. So stay with TechNave as we bring more news of Samsung’s flexible display technology straight to you.
