Aside from the anticipated Huawei P10 series that is to be unveiled at MWC 2017, it seems that the company is also planning to release a new smartwatch as well, simply called the Huawei Watch 2, it will mark exactly two years since the predecessor’s release.

Details of the Huawei Watch 2 are scarce, news have it that it will look more “sportier”, as well as featuring an optional cellular data connectivity, which grant the ability to make phone calls. While this does sound cool, this could also be costly, hence “optional” meaning there should be two variants - one that make the call (see what I did there?), and the other that doesn’t.

That being said, the Huawei Watch 2 should have an eSIM so that it can make calls and enable mobile data connectivity, which would be one of the first kind. Exciting.

So what do you think? Have you always wanted to make calls on your watch? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more Huawei news at Technave.com.
