Sony's upcoming cameraphone, the Sony i1 Honami has recently appeared in a number of leaked images. The first set of images look to be press shots of the smartphone. These press shots show what look to be international versions along with one set for NTT Docomo which is a carrier in Japan. The press images only show the front though with no indication of how the back looks like, perhaps to keep the camera part under wraps.

Tech specs for the Sony i1 Honami so far include a Snapdragon 800 processor, 20MP camera sensor and the ability to record 4K videos at 4000 x 2000 pixels. While this resolution does seem strange it could explain why the smartphone doesn't have any camera hump (or so far doesn't seem to). Perhaps it is going the way of the HTC One and offering a unique camera rather than a powerful one, which could be the first 4K smartphone camera. The second set of leaked images show off the User Interface or UI which looks somewhat different from the existing Sony Xperia UI. No details on availability just yet but we're expecting the Honami to make an appearance at Sony's upcoming event on 4 July 2013.
