The Microsoft Surface Book has been touted as the benchmark for users as the ultimate two-in-one, or so many say. The combination of build, specs and looks means that the Surface Book is a machine that many would like to own as a portable work machine. Now there are reports that the successor for the Surface Book is in the pipeline, and it is coming in the near future.

Microsoft is waiting to time the launch of the new model with the release of Intel's seventh generation of i5 and i7 chips. These chips will be manufactured using the 14nm process. The next generation Surface Book may also see a nice boost in screen resolution from the current 2000 x 3000 to include a 4K resolution screen. And the USB Type-C port will allow for faster data transfer speeds, and perhaps the ability to use a smaller secondary display.

We may see some mention of it in the upcoming /build/ conference by Microsoft, or we may see a different event in quarter three of 2016. In any case, our deepest request is to have a cheaper model for everyman to buy.
