Well well well, this is a surprise. Seems like the Samsung Galaxy A9(2016) will be joining the new 2016 Galaxy family in line with the Galaxy A3 (2016), A5 (2016) and A7 (2016). The device will be built fullmetal along with dual 2.5D glass panels, not forgetting some new pictures were released from a China website including the following tech specs:-
- Octa-core 1.8GHz processor (4x Cortex-A72 and 4x Cortex-A53 cores) + Adreno 510 and Snapdragon 620 chipset
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB expandable storage
- 6-inch Super AMOLED screen of 1080p resolution
- 13MP rear camera + 8MP selfie snapper
- LTE Cat.7 connectivity
- Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
- 4000 mAh battery
Like the rest of the 2016 A model series, the A9 will also include optical image stabilization (OIS), Samsung Pay and a fingerprint scanner (except for A3). The camera also sports an f/1.9 aperture along with a panoramic picture feature, and that 4000 mAh battery pack is indeed very tempting.
It is currently priced at CNY 3000 (RM2008) according to the China website, and despite no Malaysia release dates it is expected to be announced officially sooner than we thought around Christmas or January 2016. So stay tuned and wait for the good news!
