Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Folder flip-phone coming?

Many would say that the clamshell or flip-phone form factor died a long time ago, but there are rumours that Samsung will be developing a clamshell Android smartphone in the not-so-far-off-future. The phone will be called the Samsung Galaxy Folder and be powered by Android. It will have a classic alphanumeric keyboard attached to a touchscreen. Tech specs for the Samsung Galaxy Folder include:

  • Dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor
  • 800 x 480 pixel display
  • Supports LTE
  • Android 4.2.2

While the images for the Samsung Galaxy Folder have appeared, news about pricing or release dates have yet to be made available. While the images could just as well be another render, they seem legit enough but as always with rumours do take this with a pinch of salt.
