It isn't a secret that Samsung likes to come out with many different versions of a certain smartphone as this has been done with both the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to name a few, but tech specs leaked on AnTuTu suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S5 could be coming in two very different versions. Tech specs for the two devices labeled as Samsung Galaxy S5 are listed as the SM-G900R4 and SM-G900H with the features list below:

  • SM-G900R4
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AC) – 300-2457MHz Clock speed
  • Adreno 330 GPU
  • 2560×1440 pixels resolution
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB Storage
  • 2.1MP and 16MP Camera
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat
  • SM-G900H
  • Samsung Exynos 5422 (8 Cores) – 500-1500MHz Clock speed
  • Mali T628 GPU
  • 1920×1080 pixels resolution
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB Storage
  • 2.1MP and 16MP Camera
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat

With nearly all the tech specs listed above as being different it could mean a very specific niche that each Samsung Galaxy S5 will target. It also hints that the SM-G900H could be running all 8 cores at once while the SM-G900R4 will likely pack LTE connectivity as well. It could also be that the SM-G900R4 is the main Samsung Galaxy S5 while the SM-G900H could be the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini as no screen size was actually mentioned. We shouldn't have to wait long to find out as Samsung's Unpacked 5 event is coming up soon.
