This year’s Samsung Galaxy S series must fill in some big shoes. The Korean company needs a big hit to ensure their product line be sustainable and continue on for the upcoming future. The new Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to feature several new technologies taken from previous models, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The first news leak we are seeing for 2017 is the leaked dimension of the phones, which shows some surprising information.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will reportedly weigh in at 140.14 x 72.20 x 7.30mm. This is a size increase over the current Samsung Galaxy S7, which is logical as the rumours is stating that the S8 will be featuring a curved 5.7-inch screen. The extra real estate is definitely needed for the screen, as well as the extra buffer space for battery for the phone. The bigger Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus meanwhile is said to be 152.38 x 78.51 x 7.94mm – which is again bigger than the current Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. This is said to ensure the 6.2-inch curved display has enough space to play around in the device.

At the same time, we have seen a couple of video, from Samsung Display no less, that is showing a new display technology – and the device being used in the promotional video looks to be the next Samsung Galaxy S8. It seems the rumours of the next phone being sans-home button may be true, and this is shown in the video itself. Plus, it may have a feature that allows colour-blind people to see true colours through the colour adjustment on screen – so that is an interesting feature.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is still some months away from announcements, but we are quite excited to see what the new Samsung flagship will be offering to the users on the street – so stay tuned to TechNave to find out more.
