We are still waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to be launched, and now news of the next Samsung Galaxy S series is out. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is set to be launched next year, and it is rumoured to be designed around getting DreamVR verification and certification.

Samsung recently showed a 5.5-inch 4K display that was designed “for VR”, which most likely will be put into an upcoming smartphone. This screen has an amazing pixel density of 806ppi, which is double what we have currently. We may see this screen be used in the S8, but nothing is confirmed as of today.

The company is clearly greaing up to future-proof their design to support DreamVR however, and we speculate we will see an accompanying GearVR to go with the phone as well. Stay tuned to TechNave as we explore news of the 2017 smartphone.
