Rumours: Samsung to only release one flagship line in 2017

As the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 incident is winding down, the big bosses in Samsung South Korea must have sat down and decided on a few important things based on the lesson that they have learned so far. One of it is that instead of two flagship lines (Galaxy S & Galaxy Note), the company may be only releasing a single flagship line in 2017.

This strategy makes sense as the company is trying to consolidate losses and resources after the Note 7 problem. We have seen for the past few years Samsung flooding the market with multiple flagship devices in one year – and the market may be fatigued on that cycle. This new strategy may help the company streamline production and costs in the wake of recent news.

We do not know if Samsung will merge the two lines – Galaxy S and Galaxy Note – into a single line, but whatever the case is, the smartphone scene has forever been changed. The question is – for the better or worse? Only time will tell. Stay tuned to TechNave for more Samsung news.
