Contrary to reports shared online, it seems that Samsung has no intention of killing off its Note series of smartphones, if the report we saw is true. We will see the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in 2017, and if the report is right, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 owners will get a big discount on the new model with a special upgrade programme.
The upgrade program will allow customers to upgrade from their Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge to either the Galaxy S8 or Note 8. Customers will have to only pay half the price of the current device before being able to exchange them.
There are also rumours that Samsung will be offering owners of the Note 7 the ability to upgrade to the Galaxy S8 or Note 8, without paying a single sen. We are not sure of the validity of this news, but in the wake of the current incident, Samsung may want to do this as a gesture to their loyal customers.
