Rumours: Sony Xperia X Ultra to sport 6.4-inch, 21:9 display?

Screen-Shot-2017-04-30-at-11.45.01-PMTN.png

Sony's possible upcoming release may come with a long 21:9 display. To put things into perspective, the more recent wide displays such as the LG G6 and the Samsung Galaxy S8 which both sports 18:9 and 18.5:9 aspect ratios which was twice as tall as they are wide. The Sony Xperia X Ultra is at 21:9, which is even taller than the previous two.

Accompanying the renders, listed were some specs suggesting that the device will be sporting the following:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC

  • 4GB of RAM

  • 64GB storage

  • 19MP main camera, 13MP front camera

  • IP68 dust and water-resistance, dual speakers

  • Android 7.0
  • 3050 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0

Judging on these specs and features themselves, they aren't half bad but they are definitely not flagship material. It is possible that this will be a mid-ranged device for the masses, especially with the water-resistance feature.

As of now no Malaysian release or pricings can be seen thus far and like any rumour, I would take it with a grain of salt and see whats in store in the next few weeks. Please stay tuned to TechNave.com for the latest news and updates.
