While we're still deciding if it's going to be called the Sony Xperia Z1 or Sony i1 Honami, rumours have come out that Sony are already preparing a Mini version of their rumoured cameraphone. While it will be packing a smaller 4.3-inch screen and 2400 mAh battery because of the smaller form factor, rumours indicate that everything else could be exactly the same with the bigger Sony Xperia Z1. This means that the tech specs for the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini or Sony i1 Honami Mini could include:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB storage + microSD
- 4.3-inch display
- 20MP camera (Sony G lens, f/2.0 aperture)
- 2400 mAh battery
While the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini will definitely be smaller than the Sony Xperia Z1, due to the 2400 mAh battery it will likely be larger than most Mini version smartphones. Many are expecting it to make an appearance with the Sony Xperia Z1 at the pre-IFA 2013 event on 4 September 2013 which may be the same release date for Malaysia as well. So far, no pricing details on either the Sony Xperia Z1 or Sony Xperia Z1 Mini were available but with the event just around the corner we won't have to wait that long for everything to be confirmed.
