It wasn’t long ago that Sony released the Sony Xperia Z5 series in Malaysia just barely 2 months ago, now we’re already getting rumour reports that the Sony Xperia Z6 is already on the way...well according to AnTuTu.
So according the them, Sony is planning to release 5 brand new Xperia Z6 series next year. One device will have a 5.2-inch screen, another 4-inch screen device could be the Xperia Z6 mini, an Xperia Z6 compact version with a 4.6-inch display, a 5.8-inch screen Xperia Z6 Plus, and lastly a humongous 6.4-inch display Xperia Z6 Ultra.
In terms of tech specs, it is rumoured that 4 out of the 5 models will be powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset, which is a quad-core CPU featuring Qualcomm's custom Kryo cores, and the Adreno 530 GPU. The odd one out is the Xperia Z6 mini, which will carry the Snapdragon 620 SoC, which is more of a midrange octa-core CPU and the Adreno 510 GPU.
This also aligns with Sony’s press conference invitation that will be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center on 5 January for CES 2016, so could they be announcing the Xperia Z6 series? Logically, it’s just too soon for such move but perhaps they might just officially announce their plans for Xperia Z6 series and nothing more. We will have to wait and see.
