Rumours: Sony to feature an HDR display on Xperia X Premium?

According to a new rumour from the internet, it seems that there's a new Sony Xperia X Premium in the making. Rumours have it that it will come with an HDR display which is unheard of because it's usually used on modern TVs today. If that's the case, then Sony is really heading somewhere with that technology.

Having an HDR display would mean that it could supposedly display 1.07 billion colours, compared to every high-end device with 16.8 million colour depth in the screen. In addition, it has the potential to feature 120Hz refresh rate in a 2000:1 contrast ratio, if you don't know what that means, it means the display will be really bright in contrast, and could go over 1000 nits of "white brightness". For measurement purpose, the Samsung Galaxy S7 only has 539 nits.

Other than that, it might feature a Snapdragon 820 chipset, with 3GB RAM power and supports USB Type-C connector. Stay tuned for more news at Technave.com!
