Thanks to sources online, Sony's next batch of cameras are reported to be revealed soon to the global market, and the two models in question – the RX100 MkV and the A7 MkIII – are reported to come with an interesting set of features. However, thanks to the recent earthquake in Japan, there are some uncertainties on the status of the cameras.

For the RX100 MkV, the rumoured list of features to be added includes a Hybrid AF that will have 179 Phase detect points and 135 Contrast detect points, Continuous AF bursts up to 40 FPS, a longer zoom lens (24 – 80mm), and an new grip to be paired with the camera.

Meanwhile for the A7 MkIII, we can expect features such as a new 22 megapixel sensor with the world's fastest autofocus system, as well as full sensor readout even in 4K videos for better bitrate for the files in post processing.

However, with the disruption of image sensor manufacturing in Kumamoto, there is a possibility that the introduction of these two camera will be delayed, to perhaps during Photokina or even some time after.
