Budding photographers who just bought the EOS-M series of cameras, should look out for an upcoming lens leaked online. Canon will be releasing a new Canon EF-M f/3.5 28mm STM macro lens with a minimal focus distance of 0.093-meters (or 3.66-inches) and image stabilization in the near future. This lens is unique as the lens is matched with a built-in light to light up the subject.
Not only the lens has a built-in light, it looks like it will be light in weight as well. It will have a plastic lens mount instead of a metal one, so this will in turn make the lens lighter thanks to the plastic construction. This will also ensure the price be low enough that first time macro photographers can try out the technique without spending too much investing in new lenses and light.

We have no timeline yet for when the lens will be out so stay tune with us as we share more news soon.
