So according to sources, Whatsapp has already been working on making video calls on the app for quite some time (since December last year), and there are a limited number of beta testers said to have the capability to make video calls, which means it the feature is coming soon. Aside from the screenshots of the beta video calls UI, there are rumours of Whatsapp also working with a group of people using NFC tags and QR codes, the ability to send a voicemail to a contact if the voice call fails (iOS only), a call back button, and also a zip file sharing support in development.
