A new unofficial image of Xiaomi Mi 5 has appeared on Weibo recently and it actually looks quite convincing. It also seems that the device will feature a physical home button on the front which is a first for Xiaomi and in terms of design, it looks similar to the Mi Note series.
The render shows a device that looks like it’s made of the traditional Xiaomi plastic cover, but rumours state otherwise as it’s said that it will come in a full metal body. There’s no image of the back to support this, but according to rumours we expect the device’s tech specs to be:-
- Snapdragon 820 processor
- 3GB/4GB RAM
- 32GB/64GB storage (expandable memory unknown)
- 5.2-inch with 2K resolution
- 21MP rear camera + 8MP front camera
- Force Touch/ 3D Touch pressure sensitive technology
- MIUI 7
Furthermore, the Mi 5 might make an appearance officially on 21 January 2016, and will go on retail sale in February 2016. As usual, we will keep you Xiaomi fans in the loop.
