As Xiaomi press conference inches closer, we're getting more and more tidbits about the other unknown device that will appear alongside the Redmi Pro. Previously, the Xiaomi Note 2 (the Mi disappeared for some reason) was rumoured to come out in two days time but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore because of some new Weibo posts by analyst Pan Jiutang.

According to the analyst, the Note 2 is likely to be released in August. This also tallies with Xiaomi co-founder, Liwan Jiang stating that there's going be some high-end products in August next month, could the Note 2 be one of them? As for the specifications, the speculations about it has not changed much either, it may adopt the latest Snapdragon 821 chipset, a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED touchscreen, a powerful 6GB RAM inside (there could be a 4GB RAM variant as well), a 12MP rear camera and a 3700 mAh battery inside the hood.
Lastly, the price tag may be more than 3000 Yuan (around RM1827). Are you looking forward to Xiaomi's anticipated device on 27 July and possibly August? Stay tuned for more news at Technave.com
